Ivy mark making.JPG

In this workshop we will use a range of mark making tools with inks, watered down paints or even just coffee to explore the shapes and textures of festive foliage to capture its essence and character.

Gather anything you like such as holly, ivy, fir tree fronds, mistletoe and other berries.

For the mark making tools, gather things you can find around the house or outdoors, such as sticks and twigs of different sizes, feathers, bits of card, pieces of sponge, toothpicks and forks. See the image below for ideas!

An Online Experimental Drawing Workshop

Mince pie collage cropped.JPG

Draw and collage a seasonal still life of festive foods and ingredients in this experimental drawing workshop.

With guidance and support you'll use thick and thin fineliner pens and any other drawing tools and papers you want, to draw and collage your own still life, focussing on mark making and composition.

Still life elements could be – mince pies, satsumas, cinnamon sticks, nuts, pomegranates, and perhaps some foliage for an extra dimension!

A Feast of Festive Drawing
